What’s worse than your car breaking down in the middle of nowhere during a snowstorm?
Not knowing how to help yourself survive! To that end, I have advice from The Big Book of Uncommon Knowledge. Here’s what they recommend: Make like a scarecrow to trap body heat.Hopefully you have shoelaces - if so, undo them and tie them around the bottom of your pants at your ankles. And tuck in your shirt. Then, take a pocketknife - or use something sharp like your keys - and tear into your car’s upholstery. Take chunks of the foam or padding, and stuff it down your pants and shirt – like a scarecrow is stuffed with straw. The book says that’ll act as insulation, keeping you warmer while you wait for help.Follow me on Facebook
