Coconut oil or butter?
What’s the deal with everybody using jars of coconut oil instead of butter? Well, although it’s 90% saturated fat – it’s a different type of saturated fat. It contains lauric acid – which your body processes much faster, and more efficiently, than the saturated fat from a T-bone steak. That means less fat gets stored in your body as belly fat. And you can use coconut oil in place of most other fats – like butter, as I mentioned. It’s also good for cooking and baking, because it breaks down at a higher temperature. Wanna try it? Look for it at the supermarket – but check the label for VIRGIN coconut oil – and avoid anything that says “partially hydrogenated” which is code for unhealthy trans fat.
