Research on over 35,000 people says YES!
According to the Queensland University of Technology, the average adult sits between 10 to 15-hours a day! And long-term sitting has been linked to obesity, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, and heart disease. But people who fidgeted while seated – by tapping their feet, drumming fingers, or jiggling legs – were able to reduce the damage done by too much sitting. And they ended up living longer, healthier livesthan those who sat motionless at their desks all day.
