Adopting new habits!
If you want to adopt a new habit, don’t put it on your calendar. You need to make it automatic. Otherwise, you’ll be watching the clock and stressing about it. So, try this suggestion from Dr. Jeremy Dean, author of the book “Making Habits, Breaking Habits”: Use an already-formed habit as your cue. So if you always walk to your mailbox in the evening, that’s when to start your new habit of walking for 30 minutes. You’ll already be outside, so you’ll just have to keep going. And you won’t have to try and find a time to fit it in.
