Don’t judge a person’s body language based on one move.
Here’s some advice from the book, “The Silent Language Of Leaders: How Body Language Can Help or Hurt” by Dr. Carol Goman: Don’t judge a person’s body language based on one move. For example, you may have heard that people who are lying touch their nose because the stress of lying triggers histamine, which makes the nose itch. But that one move isn't proof that someone’s lying. Instead, we should look for a cluster of behaviors. Like, they touch their nose, AND they’re sweating profusely, AND they avoid direct questions. When you combine all those, the person is probably lying.
