Get your antioxidants from simple foods!
You’ve heard wine contains heart-healthy antioxidants. But what if you don’t drink? Nutritionists at NYU say other foods contain the same exact antioxidants.
For example, you’ll find heart-healthy, anti-cancer resveratrol (rez-VARE’-uh-trall) in cranberries, peanuts, pistachios, dark chocolate and cocoa powder.
There’s immunity-boosting and inflammation-fighting quercetin (QWER-set-in) in apples, blackberries, citrus, and dark cherries, as well as onions, parsley, sage, and both green and black tea.
And you’ll find resveratrol AND quercetin in blueberries and grapes.
