Life saving tip for kids who use cell phones!
University of Alabama researchers found kids between 10 and 12 who use a cellphone while crossing the street are significantly more likely to be hit by a car. In the study, kids walked across a "virtual" road 6 times. Those chatting or texting got "hit" or had a close call at least once! Meaning, every time they crossed the street, they had a nearly 20% chance of getting injured or killed by a car.
