If you've got Type A blood, be extra careful when hiking, camping, or walking through tall grass. Because new research shows ticks are most attracted to - and most likely to BITE - people with Type A blood! Scientists put drops of blood from Types A, B, AB, and O in Petri dishes - and let ticks roam freely among the dishes for 2 minutes while tracking their movements. The result? The ticks chose Type A blood the majority of the time. Blood Type B appeared to be the ticks’ least favorite. The ticks were 60% less likely to be attracted to it. So, if you know you have Type A blood, take extra precautions when you’re going to be in an area that’s known for ticks.
