If you don’t wake up feeling rested, blame your phone!
One-third of adults check their phones if they wake in the middle of the night. And it’s not just the blue light that makes it harder to fall back asleep. It’s that we end up reading and responding to work emails - sending text messages - or tweeting. In fact, just swiping your finger across your phone’s screen wakes your brain up on a cognitive level, and starts you thinking, instead of allowing you to settle back down to sleep. So, if you want a good night’s sleep, leave your phone alone until morning!
